Meet: Miranda McGufficke, NSW

Miranda grew up in the heart of the Monaro, working among mobs of sheep with her Dad, playing in wool bins and sheep yards with her sisters, anticipating the highly sought-after poddy lamb, and riding push bikes on sheep tracks in the cold frosts. For her, it wasn’t just childhood freedom - it was the foundation of her drive to excel in the livestock industry.

A young producer, deeply invested in the future of the sheep and wool industry, Miranda's focus is centred on the intersection of profitable production systems, genomic measurement, and the inclusion of the next generation of passionate sheep producers.

Miranda believes targeted and proficient educational programs, partnered with knowledgeable mentors and dedicated participants will result in more sustainable and profitable long term breeding decisions, extensive genomic advancement, and positive industry competitiveness.
