Bonnie Skinner

Chief Executive Officer

Bonnie joined the Sheep Producers Australia team in 2018, she previously held the roles of Product Integrity Policy Manager and Deputy Chief Executive Officer before being appointed as Chief Executive Officer in March 2022. 

 

Prior to joining Sheep Producers Australia Bonnie worked in agriculture and animal health sectors in the non-for-profit and private sector. Bonnie has a background in sales and marketing and is known for her collaborative approach and stakeholder engagement.

Bonnie has a Bachelor of Equine Science, Bachelor of Applied Science (Hons 1), a Graduate Certificate in Agriculture majoring in agricultural consulting and has extensive networks across primary industries and throughout regional Australia.

Annie Frisch

General Manager Public Relations

Partnership engagement professional with over 20 years' experience in marketing, strategic business development, communications and events. Excels in generating revenue, brand management, customer engagement, development and implementation of marketing and communication strategies, corporate relations and project management.

 

Annie manages the social media, media, government engagement, leadership, publication and branding design, Global Sheep Producer Forum and Next Generation, website and communications. Along with a partnership program that will be established in 2023.

Tracey-Anne Leahey

General Manager Corporate Services

Tracey-Anne is a seasoned accounting professional who understands the challenges and opportunities associated with building young organisations such as SPA. She is a business management expert who specialises in green field, commercial and not-for-profit bodies.


Tracey-Anne brings a wealth of international experience to the team, including strategic guidance on budgeting, cash flow management, financial systems and forecasting. She offers second-to-none leadership and operational acumen for SPA’s sustainable, impactful future.


Affectionally known as T-A, she is dedicated to ensuring SPA’s financial, business management and governance health - and is firmly committed to instilling a legacy of self-efficacy for all SPA’s staff.

 

T-A holds the office of Company Secretary.

Carolyn Cameron

Sustainability I Policy Advisor

Carolyn Cameron, FEIANZ, has over 40 years’ experience in environmental and strategic land use planning working with the mining industry, universities, state and national governments.   As a Senior Executive with the national Department of Environment, she led teams undertaking strategic environmental and cumulative impact assessments across the country. Since 2015 she has been a senior consultant on complex environmental management projects, applying her skills in policy analysis, cumulative and strategic impact assessment, stakeholder engagement and strategy development with local and state governments, Departments of the Australian government, the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority (GBRMPA), Jacobs, Food Innovation Australia Limited (FIAL) and End Food Waste Australia.

Heidi Reid

Policy Consultant 

Heidi Reid has commenced part-time with SPA primarily working with the Policy Team. Heidi will be well known to many members, and has previously held policy positions with NFF, Australian Pork Limited and Sheep Meat Council of Australia.

 

Heidi will be the main contact for the Policy Council, please note Heidi works Mondays and Wednesdays.

Johann Schröder

Technical Consultant  I  Health & Welfare

Johann joined Sheep Producers Australia in February 2022 on a part-time basis.

 

Johann is a veterinarian with a specialised interest in internal and external parasites of livestock. He spent much of his career working in the global pharmaceutical industry in South Africa, Germany and Australia, in the roles of product development and technical support.

 

For the last 15 years before joining SPA, Johann managed investments in animal health, welfare and biosecurity research by two rural R&D corporations – Australian Wool Innovation, and Meat & Livestock Australia.

Archie Grainger

Graduate

Archie Grainger commenced a 12-month graduate position with us here at Sheep Producers Australia. Archie has recently graduated after completing a Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy and Economics at The Australian National University. Having experience across several mixed-enterprise agricultural operations throughout Victoria and NSW- Archie has a wealth of practical knowledge inside Australia’s agricultural industry. He has a strong understanding of the varying challenges faced by the stakeholders in Australia’s multifaceted agriculture sector from primary and direct experience.

 

His personal connection to the land and to the industry, coupled with natural curiosity and hard-working mentality provide Archie with a well-rounded perspective and a unique ability to contribute to our organisation. Archie will be primarily focused on policy through his work with the SPA Policy Team.

Mackenzie Jolly

Corporate Support

Mackenzie is a focused and resourceful business undergraduate in the process of developing a diverse skill set across areas such as finance, marketing, and management.


Her university coursework together with the intern duties she fulfils with SPA has proven her already adept at solving complex problems. She also regularly contributes to data-driven decision-making for the SPA team.


Mackenzie’s interpersonal skills in addition to her drive for excellence make her a valued team
member at SPA.

John McGoverne

Policy Advisor

John McGoverne has commenced a part time contracting role with SPA to further support the Policy Team. John has previously been the Interim CEO and Policy Director with Cattle Australia formerly Cattle Council of Australia and held senior Policy positions with Sheep Meat Council of Australia and Australian Pork Limited. John has extensive experience within agriculture and will be known to many members. John has held previous roles in farm management, policy analysis and advocacy in the private sector, Australian Government Cattle Council of Australia, Sheepmeat Council and Australian Pork Ltd. He has considerable experience in the development of strategic planning and change management. John has a Master of Environmental Management and Associate Diploma of Farm Management.
