Taking Australia's story to New Zealand

Sheep Producers Australia CEO Bonnie Skinner engaged with passionate and optimistic New Zealand producers at Beef+Lamb New Zealand's 'Out the Gate' 2026' event this week, where she showcased Australia’s sheep industry wins, challenges and future plans.

She said Australia and New Zealand shared a few friendly digs across the Tasman with plenty of laughs and highlighted how the conversations happening across the Tasman are remarkably similar.

Ms Skinner said the New Zealand and Australian sheep industry's compete hard and admire each other's work.

It was a strong reminder that sheep producers are driven by the same passion and optimism no matter the country, she said.
