FarmSafe Australia membership

Sheep Producers Australia is pleased to announce its new membership with FarmSafe Australia.

This membership will support SPA to promote practical wellbeing and productivity in the sheepmeat industry through enhanced health practices and safety awareness. 

FarmSafe Australia is the national peak body dedicated to improving work health and safety across Australian agriculture.

Working to reduce injuries and fatalities on farms by bringing together industry organisations, researchers and government for education and practical guidance.

FarmSafe plays a key role in raising awareness of on-farm risks, with the supporting evidence-based safety measures, and effective practices that can be adopted across different farming systems. Its work spans areas such as livestock handling, quad bike safety, mental health, fatigue, and working in isolated or remote conditions. 

Through some of their programs like National Farm Safety Week and ToolBox Talks, FarmSafe Australia champion a safe working culture that can be embedded in everyday farm operations.

Helping ensure that everyone working in agriculture can return home safely at the end of the day.
