SPA seeks Executive Chairperson

Sheep Producers Australia (SPA) is seeking an experienced Executive Chairperson to join its passionate and skills-based Board for 6 months, with the possibility of an extension, to implement the new governance structure and processes of the organisation.

Sheep Producers Australia Limited (SPA) is the nation’s peak body representing and leading the national and international interests of lamb and sheepmeat producers in Australia.

SPA was launched on 14 November 2017, replacing Sheepmeat Council of Australia, following a vote by members of to adopt a new governance framework and transition to a company limited by guarantee.

The Executive Chairperson role is a new position on the Board, therefore candidates should have experience at the Board level and the capacity to commit adequate time to ensuring the new governance structures are implemented.

The successful candidate will embody integrity, drive, enthusiasm and professionalism. Energy and the ability to continually promote SPA’s culture of quality service delivery to its members and a supportive and collaborative work environment is essential.
