Sheep Producers Australia Limited is the successor entity to Sheepmeat Council of Australia Inc (SCA). SCA was formed in 1978 and was the peak national body representing and promoting the interests of sheep producers in Australia since that time.

Sheep Producers Australia was established in November 2017 as the result of a detailed governance review of SCA and extensive member consultation and input.

Sheep Producers Australia Limited Annual General Meeting will be held in November 2024 - the date and time will be advised in compliance with clause 6.5 of the Sheep Producers Australia Limited Constitution.
